LOVE is in the aisle this Valentine's Day. Supermarkets have gone all out with their romantic meal deals for two – with tasty mains, sides, desserts and wine for just £11.
Instead of spending your money at an overpriced restaurant, you and your significant other can dine there – and save a ton of money.
Here Sun Sexpert Georgette Culley tests meal deals from seven supermarkets and scores out of five.

The faux beef wellington was convincing and looked and tasted similar to the real deal.
It paired perfectly with Parmesan chips – yes, it's a bit carb-heavy, but it's Valentine's Day, who cares?
The plant-based dark chocolate cake was rich, with a delicious cookie/biscuit crumb base, topped with a velvety raspberry and chocolate batter and layered with pockets of silky chocolate sauce. I still dream about it now.

Asda
Starter, main course, side dish, dessert, drink, £12
- 8 vegan brie hearts
- 2 steaks with pepper sauce
- Chantenay carrots with maple and orange
- 6 Valentine's profiteroles
- Kylie Minogue alcohol-free sparkling rose
At £6 each for a starter, two sides, a dessert and a drink, this is incredibly good value.
The vegan brie starter was tasty and so easy to cook, and the steaks were a generous portion size.
The carrots were juicy and sweet and I tucked in a few frozen chips that I had on hand in the oven for the main dishes.
The profiteroles rounded it all off nicely – as did Kylie's most popular non-alcoholic drink.

Waitrose No. 1
Starter, main course, side dish, dessert, drink, £20
- 2 Cornish Quartz Cheddar and Shallot Tarts
- 2 Parmigiano truffle chicken kievs
- Mediterranean roast vegetables
- 2 Sicilian lemon tarts
- Espresso martini premixed vodka cocktail
I'm being very generous with my scores this year, but Waitrose definitely deserves it with its imaginative menu.
The delicious cheesy tarts were gooey and crumbly at the same time.
The Parmigiano chicken smelled of garlic and was amazing when cooking and I couldn't wait to try it.
It didn't disappoint and the portion was a decent size.
The roasted vegetables were marinated in spices and oil and ready to roast, while the lemon tarts were tangy and refreshing.
I also loved the espresso martini – the cocktail made one Nice difference to wine and gave me a bit of a caffeine boost at the same time.

Morrisons the best
Starter, main course, two sides, dessert, drink, £15
- Cherry pepper Camembert tear and share bread
- Slowly cooked lamb shank with Chianti & rosemary
- Dauphinoise potatoes
- Roasted Chantenay Carrots with Acacia Honey Butter
- Gu 2 Hot chocolate melted center
- Merlot wine
THE camembert bread was a wonderfully indulgent starter and there was plenty of tasty red wine on the lamb.
The cheesy dauphinoise was wonderful, especially when paired with the honey roasted carrots.
The Merlot complemented the meal beautifully and the warm chocolate puddings were gooey and divine. This is a great deal for the price.

Tesco best
Starter, main course, side dish, dessert, drink, £12*
- Camembert swirls
- Slowly cooked duck legs with hoisin sauce from morello cherries
- Creamy, buttery puree
- Belgian chocolate cubes with raspberry compote
- Prosecco
ALTHOUGH the starter was similar to Morrisons, I didn't mind as it was so tasty.
The duck didn't look very appetizing in the package, but it smelled and looked great after cooking.
The sweet cherry sauce complemented the meat well and the buttery puree was wonderfully creamy.
The chocolate desserts were small but cute and I can never say no to a bottle of prosecco.
This wasn't the most exciting meal I tried.

Aldi specially selected
Starter, main course, dessert €6.77 (with wine €10.86)
- Heart-shaped garlic bread
- Heart-shaped lobster pasta
- White chocolate and raspberry panna cotta double pots
- Optional: Grapevine Sauvignon Blanc
I loved this. The heart-shaped garlic bread looked super cute. It was also really cheesy and doughy – tastier than most you'd get in a restaurant.
The pasta was also heart shaped and looked great – it tasted delicious too.
It's a shame there was no sauce with the main course, but I drizzled a little olive oil over it oil up, what worked.
The panna cotta dessert was light and fruity and the white wine cleared the palate.
This is a great option for those on a budget.

Marks & Spencer
Starter, main course, side dish, dessert, drink, €25
- 2 luxurious shrimp cocktails
- 2 sea bass filled with herb butter
- asparagus
- 2 hearts of white chocolate and raspberry mousse
- Conte Priuli Veneto blushes
Although the shrimp cocktail was delicious, the portion was a bit mean.
The sea bass was juicy and buttery and the tarragon smelled delicious.
The asparagus was a bit boring, but I needed some green after all the beige food I've been eating lately.
There are also other sides you can get, like triple fried fries if you're looking for something naughty.
The white chocolate mousse looked and tasted incredible and the rose wine complemented the food well.
Although the M&S dinner was delicious, I think Waitrose has the advantage of luxury this year as the meal deal felt more luxurious and was £5 cheaper.
