The Crown star Charles Dance, 77, looks loved up as he enjoys a date night with girlfriend Alessandra Masi, 54, at Chiltern Firehouse

Charles Dance put on a loving show with his girlfriend Alessandra Masi as they left Chiltern Firehouse in Marylebone on Wednesday.

The Crown star, 77, stepped out with his Italian flame, 54, who is 23 years his junior, for a romantic date night in the celebrity hotspot.

Charles, who played Lord Louis Mountbatten in series 3 and 4 of The Crown, showcased his youthful looks as he stepped out into the city.

And ahead of the latest series of the Netflix hit drama, Charles appeared in good spirits as he enjoyed a romantic dinner with Alessandra.

The actor pulled off a casual appearance in an all-black ensemble and added a trendy blue denim jacket.

Meanwhile, Alessandra opted for black boyfriend jeans, a long dark overcoat, paired with a vibrant red scarf.

The Game Of Thrones star met Alessandra on the set of his recently released film The Book of Vision.

The actress worked as a production manager on the surreal historical film that was shot on locations in Italy and Belgium.

The film depicts Dance as two doctors: one in modern London and the other in 18th-century Prussia.

When asked what his most important memory of the film was, he said: “Honestly, it’s meeting Alessandra.”

The couple has been together for about three years now.

Charles was married to Joanna Haythorn from 1970 to 2004 and they have two adult children.

He subsequently dated actress Sophia Myles, then in her 20s, who starred in films such as Thunderbirds, but they split in 2005.

Charles was also linked to French-born ex-Gucci model Shambhala Marthe, and subsequently dated artist Eleanor Boorman for four years.

Despite welcoming daughter Rose together in 2012 and even getting engaged, the couple split months later.

The actor recently revealed the secrets to his age-defying looks and the brutal way he stays in shape: swimming in ice-cold water and lifting weights.

He has said he enjoys wild swimming at Hampstead Heath in north London for most of the year as he can tolerate the cold temperatures.

He told The mirror: ‘I lasted from March to November, but there is a point… six degrees is about my limit. It’s quite cold, it takes a long time to warm up. But you feel great afterwards.’

Acknowledging that he is lucky to have been blessed with good genes, he added: ‘I try to eat sensibly and I do a range of basic weightlifting exercises to work different parts of your body, but I am not a bodybuilder.’

‘It’s just that you get to an age where you have to take care of yourself because your muscles start to diminish. Don’t put me next to Arnold Schwarzenegger.’

He said he thinks he looks good, he said he now has love handles and was surprised because he didn’t think he would get them.
