The One Show host Alex Jones accidentally makes a live TV blunder as she mistakenly thinks Asa Butterfield is starring in the new Chicken Run
The cast and crew of One Show were left in hysterics when presenter Alex Jones accidentally made a major blunder on air.
The host, 46, was joined by actors Asa Butterfield and Daniel Mays when they appeared on the show on Wednesday night to talk about their upcoming film, Your Christmas Or Mine 2.
But things got a little awkward when Alex mistakenly believed that Asa Butterfield, 26, also had a role in the upcoming Chicken Run sequel, Dawn Of The Nugget.
After 23 years since the original film was released, Chicken Run 2 will air on Netflix on December 15.
An excited Alex seemed to have her wires crossed as she pointed to Asa and exclaimed, “Meanwhile, you’re in the new coop.”

The Sex Education star quickly pointed to Daniel, 45, who started laughing as he explained: ‘No, I’m in the new Chicken Run!’
Left hysterical, he continued, “You know what, Alex, I missed that!”
While Asa looked surprised as he asked, “I am?”
He refused to drop it and joked, “You kept that one quiet!”
Co-host Alex Scott also laughed as she added: “The shock in Asa’s face.”
Daniel voices one of the rats in the film alongside comedian Romesh Raganathan, but he confessed that he hasn’t actually seen the film yet.
Concluding the segment, Alex referred back to her joke, adding, “And you see Daniel in Chicken Run Dawn Of The Nugget on Friday in select theaters and Netflix starting December 15.”
