The Project brutally roasted as they suffer an epic social media bust and confuse two iconic stars: ‘This show is a joke… you guys are useless’

The Project was brutally roasted on Monday after the show made a shocking social media blunder.

Channel Ten’s Facebook this week posted photos of its celebrity guests, including Cate Blanchett and Dolly Parton.

They posted a photo of Blanchett, 54, to confirm she was Tuesday night’s guest star and then one of Parton, 73, who appears on the program on Wednesday.

However, the name text for Parton’s photo was not changed and they labeled the iconic American country music star as “Cate Blanchett.”

Fans quickly noticed the mistake and slammed Channel Ten for the mistake.

“This show is a joke,” one wrote while another chimed in, “Wow, Cate has really changed her look.”

“You are useless,” said a third person.

Blanchett is currently in Australia promoting her latest movie The New Boy, while Parton is promoting her upcoming album Rockstar.

The Aussie actress looked as chic as ever as she attended a screening and Q&A session in Sydney for the film on Sunday.

She opted for a high fashion ensemble as she posed alongside the film director Warwick Thornton and producer Kath Sheller.

The star appeared relaxed as she posed with her crew on the red carpet next to the media wall.

She was recently spotted in Cannes promoting the drama, in which Cate plays a nun with a rebellious streak.

The Oscar winner first rose to prominence for starring in the 1998 historical drama Elizabeth.

Cate later won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2005 for her role in The Aviator, opposite Leonardo DiCaprio.
