A cleaner from Leaders Cleaning, a company based in New Zealand, shares her expert opinion and starts with the bathroom, specifically the color of the toilet.

“Black matte toilet… a big no, because dust and white water stains are real,” she warns.

“We also noticed that black toilets are the dirtiest because a lot of it remains after daily use because you can hardly see the bottom.”

And if you're looking to give your kitchen a makeover, the cleaning expert warns that you should avoid a certain type of cabinetry.

“Press to open kitchen cupboards – looks great, but self-explanatory,” she explains.

“Fingerprints are constant, especially on dark colors.”

Last but not least, the cleaning professional also notes that she's not a fan of big, hairy rugs — and for a very good reason.

“Not only do these need to be vacuumed forever, they also contain a lot of dust and allergens that can contribute to the overall dust in the room,” she points out.

The cleaning lady captioned the post: “Do you agree? Please share your ideas and observations, we want to know more about a better home.”

The video has since gone viral, racking up an impressive 86,000 views and several comments.

“All black glossy furniture, bling items, mirrors, black tiles on the floor, horizontal blinds, black kitchen worktops, too many ornaments,” wrote one.

The cleaning professional replied, “I love this one and agree!”

A second wrote: “Black toilets are mainly used in bars, restaurants…public places! Commonly seen.”

The cleaning professional previously posted a video in which she revealed three more things she would always avoid in her home – including mosaic tiles.

“Just 100 times more grout to clean,” she noted.

Not only this, but the cleaning lady explained that she wouldn't have a high gloss floor in her house either.

“This type of finish improves footprints and streaks from mopping,” she warned.

And last but not least, she reveals that the last thing she would never have in her home is clear glass pendant lights.

“Some designs look great. But dust and fly droppings are more visible and at the same time more fragile to clean and more prone to streaking,” she explains.
