Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott ‘trying to stay cordial’ as he is annoyed by her new romance with ad executive Ryan Cramer and thinks she is dating him ‘for attention’

Tori Spelling and her estranged husband Dean McDermott “are trying to remain cordial with each other in the aftermath of their divorce as they both pursue new love interests.”

Spelling, 50, and McDermott, 56, are “on pretty icy terms right now” in the wake of Spelling’s new relationship with ad executive Ryan Cramer, a source said American weekly On Thursday he will be linked to a new girlfriend, businesswoman Lily Calo.

McDermott “thinks Tori is doing this to get attention,” the source said of the Beverly Hills, 90210 star’s new romance with Cramer, who bears more than a passing physical resemblance to McDermott.

An insider previously told the outlet that Spelling and Cramer first crossed paths through work several months ago, and she found him very charming and personable.

“Tori is very excited about the new relationship and it doesn’t bother her that people say he looks a lot like Dean.”

Spelling and McDermott share five children: Liam, 16, Stella, 15, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and Beau, six. McDermott is also father to son, Jack, 25, whom he shares with ex, Mary Jo Eustace, 61.

A separate source told the outlet that Spelling “had a great time” early on with Cramer, which “makes her feel more energetic and happier than she has in a long time.”

The source added, “Things got so toxic with Dean that she was walking around in a fog.”

McDermott announced on Instagram last June that he and Spelling were ending their long-term relationship.

“It is with great sadness and a very heavy heart that @torispelling and I, after 18 years together and five wonderful children, have decided to go our separate ways and embark on a new journey of our own,” McDermott said.

He added: “We will continue to work together as loving parents, guiding and loving our children through this difficult time. We ask that you all respect our privacy as we take the time to surround our family with love and work through this.”

Spelling’s romance with Cramer comes during a difficult year for the actress, who has faced uncertain living conditions, physical illness and financial problems in addition to her divorce from McDermott.

Spelling was spotted staying at an RV park in Ventura County, California, with her five children in August. Before that, the family was seen staying at a $100-a-night motel in Ventura County.

Spelling left a rental home where she and her children had been staying in May amid what she said was an ongoing mold problem that was affecting the family’s health.

The litany of tough breaks marks a turnaround in fortunes for Spelling, who grew up immersed in Hollywood luxury as her late father Aaron Spelling produced hit shows like Dynasty, Charlie’s Angels and The Love Boat, as well as Melrose Place, Charmed and Beverly. Hills, 90210.

Aaron left behind a $500 million empire, while Tori’s inheritance was $800,000.

She has had a complicated relationship with her mother Candy over the years: Aaron Spelling died in June 2006, less than a year after Tori made headlines in 2005 for her extramarital affair with McDermott while they were both married; her to Charlie Shahnaian, and McDermott to Eustace.

She and McDermott fled to Fiji in May 2006, just a month before Aaron’s death.

In her 2008 book sTORI Telling, Tori said her family was disappointed about eloping with McDermott, and both mother and daughter have spoken publicly about their complicated relationship in the years since.

While things appear to be on decent terms — with Tori wishing her mother a happy birthday in September — it wasn’t immediately clear whether Candy has offered to help her daughter financially amid her recent troubles.

Spelling and Cramer first crossed paths through work “several months ago and she found him very charming and handsome,” a source told USA.

Tori appeared to be recovering after spending several days in a hospital last summer with an unknown illness when she entered a medical facility on August 17.

On August 20, she posted an image of her hospital wristband on social media while praising her children. She said at the time: ‘Grateful and so proud of my strong, brave, resilient and kind people for the core kids who stay positive no matter what comes our way.’

Before her hospitalization, Spelling was seen working on a project in Los Angeles.

A source told DailyMail.com earlier this month that Spelling was “having some money problems” and as a result was looking forward to returning to the reality TV genre.

“Tori is currently caught between a rock and a hard place as she tries to figure out what her next job will be,” the source said.
