A US F-16 fighter jet crashed in the Yellow Sea off the coast of the Korean Peninsula and the pilot was ejected. Yonhap news.

The plane crashed Monday during a training flight near the U.S. air base in Gunsan, South Korea, about 110 miles from Seoul.

It is unclear whether the pilot was rescued and U.S. officials in South Korea and the South Korean Defense Ministry spokesman could not immediately be reached for comment.
