Scarlett Jenkinson and Eddie Ratcliffe were both only fifteen when they devised a macabre plot to slaughter 16-year-old Brianna Ghey.

After luring Brianna, who was transgender, to Linear Park Warringtonshe used a hunting knife to stab her in a “savage” attack.

Jenkinson had become 'obsessed' with the teenager and hatched a plot to kill her using drugs.

Just 19 days before Brianna was slaughtered, the girl messaged her accomplice to let him know the grim plan had been executed.

He stabs her in the back while I stab her in the stomach

Note from Scarlett Jenkinson

She said she believed she gave Brianna [painkillers] that “should have been enough to kill her”.

When the schoolgirl fell ill but did not die, the evil couple decided to take a more gruesome method to kill Brianna.

In a note titled 'Saturday February 11, 2023. Victim: Brianna Ghey' – the day she was murdered – Jenkinson outlined her plans.

The teen wrote: “Meet [Ratcliffe] at wooden posts 1 p.m. Walk to the library… bus stop. Wait until Brianna gets off the bus and then the three of us walk to Linear Park. Go to the pipe/tunnel area.

'I say code word against [Ratcliffe]. He stabs her in the back while I stab her in the stomach. [Ratcliffe] drags the body to the area. We both cover the area with logs etc.”.

They originally planned to meet Brianna on January 28, but Ratcliffe said he wouldn't be able to commit the murder on a “school night”.

Fueled by her bloodlust, Jenkinson replied: “I don't want to wait, I just want her to die. I want to see pure horror on her face and hear her scream in pain.”

The boy replied, “Really? All I wanted to see was what size dick he had.”

In another post, Jenkinson said: “I really want one of his eyes. They have beautiful eyes.”

'ANXIOUS'

She also wrote, “I want to stab her at least once even if she's dead just because it's fun lol.”

After choosing a date, Jenkinson agreed watch her “favorite” movieSweeney Todd, for the “9,000th time”.

The next morning, unknowingly Brianna left her house Unpleasant meets her killers in the park.

The schoolgirl was captured on CCTV boarding a bus from nearby Birchwood Station to Culcheth Library.

While she was on the bus, Brianna messaged her mother Esther Gray to tell her she was on her way to meet Jenkinson and was “scared”.

Esther said that thanks to her, her daughter often stayed home on weekends tension.

In response to her adventure, she had replied, “That's good.”

Brianna met her killers at the bus stop before the trio entered an alleyway to the park at 2:02 p.m.

Just over an hour later, Brianna was found covered in blood and face down in the mud by a dog walker.

Brianna suffered 'insurmountable' injuries including catastrophic blood loss after being stabbed in the back and chest.

Jenkinson and Ratcliffe had entered Brianna's throat and lungs with the knife.

'FALSE' SMS MESSAGE

One stab wound reached a depth of 11cm and cut through the teen's heart.

Brianna also had 'defensive wounds' on her arms and hands where she desperately tried to fend off her attackers.

The court was told that “many” of the stab wounds damaged her bones and would require “significant force”.

Prosecutor Deanna Heer KC said there was “no doubt that she was the victim of a sustained and violent attack”.

After the murder, Jenkinson came up with a “false defense” to cover their tracks in case someone looked at her phone.

She messaged Brianna and said, “Girl, are you okay? A teenage girl was murdered in Linear Park, it's all over the news.

'And why did you dump us for some random guy from Manchester. Like wtf. That's so damned.'

This mysterious 17-year-old boy was simply a fictional invention of Jenkinson and Ratcliffe, with the teenage girl telling him to “Make sure the story makes sense”.

PLAN TO KILL

She also shared a Snapchat tribute to Brianna and said, “Brianna was one of the best people I have ever met, such a wonderful friend.

“It's fucking sickening what was done to her.”

But her plan then unraveled Police found an unopened bottle of Dr Pepper and an empty bottle of Coke near the scene that matched the couple's DNA.

Brianna's blood was also discovered on a £13.50 hunting knife the boy had bought on a hunting knife to ski vacation six weeks before the murder.

When officers raided Jenkinson's home, they found another note with a “plan to kill.”

This said: “Cut the throat, cut the body into pieces, put the pieces in garbage bags, bury the bags more than two meters underground.”

The police also found notes about it serial killersincluded Jeffrey DahmerRichard Ramirez and Harold Schipman.

It was suggested during the trial that Jenkinson had used Ratcliffe as her 'hit man' – referring to the boy as a 'hit man'.Tesco John Wick”.

'TOGETHER IN IT'

Both teens tried to blame each other for the murder, both claiming that their backs were turned when the fatal blows were delivered.

But Ms Heer said the evidence showed they were “in it together”.

Tragically, no motive for the murder has been given – with the lead investigator saying both had a “thirst for murder”.

Detective Chief Inspector Mike Evans, head of crime at Cheshire Police, also previously expressed fears they could have struck again if they had not been caught.

Why can Brianna Ghey's killers be named?

Children appearing in youth or crown courts in England and Wales cannot normally be identified.

This was the case during the trial of Jenkinson and Ratcliffe for Brianna's murder.

But after they were found guilty, Ms Judge Yip said there was “strong public interest in the full and unrestricted reporting of what is clearly an exceptional case”.

She added: 'The public will obviously want to know the identities of the young people responsible as they try to understand how children could do something so terrible.

“Continued restrictions hinder full and informed debate and limit full coverage of the matter.”
