Woman dies of ‘genital rupture’ after falling from a jet ski driven by her husband and being hit by a powerful blast of water as he drove away
A woman has died after suffering a ‘genital fracture’ when she fell from a high-speed jet ski driven by her husband, according to reports.
The force of the jet propulsion as it accelerated as she fell into the water resulted in horrific wounds from which she died the next day.
Russian woman Elena Spiryakova, 49, from Samara, near Russia’s border with Kazakhstan, was rushed to hospital but doctors were unable to save her.
Her husband Oleg, 52, is now facing a criminal case for “causing death by negligence” that left his wife hit on the genitals with a “water hammer,” Russian news channel Baza reported.
While the tragedy occurred in July 2023 on the Samara River, details have only now emerged following the intervention of prosecutors.

The victim rode on the back of the jet ski on the river that flows into the greater Volga in Samara.
“After another turn, the woman was unable to remain seated on the jet ski and fell into the water, at which point her husband ‘speeded up,’” the report said.
She suffered serious ‘hydraulic injuries’.
“The victim was rushed to hospital, but Elena died the next day,” Baza said.
Her relatives told the media that a criminal case had been initiated following her death.
