Shubman Gill joined an elite list of Indian superstars when he became only the fourth batsman from the country to top the batting charts in the ICC ODI rankings. Gill replaced Pakistan captain Babar Azam as the No. 1 batsman in the 50-over format of the match in the latest rankings, updated on Wednesday, November 8. Azam has been at the top of the batting chart since April 14, 2021, when he dethroned batsman Virat Kohli from the spot. The Indian is currently on 830 points, six more than Azam.
