Donna Kelce wears good luck charms during Travis and Jason’s games

Donna Kelce talks about the lucky jewelry she wears while visiting her sons Travis Kelce And Jason Kelce‘s football matches.

“[I] I have two bracelets that belonged to my stepmother,” Donna, 71, exclusively shared We weekly earlier this week while promoting her partnership with Ancestry®. She explained that her stepmother would receive charms for the bracelets as Christmas and birthday gifts, including charms from Travis and Jason’s respective teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.

“She really loved those bracelets and I ended up getting them, so I wear them. I wear the KC bracelet when I’m there [Travis’] games and I wear the Philly bracelet when I’m there [Jason’s] games,” Donna shared, noting that she will be able to wear both armbands when the Chiefs and Eagles face off on Monday, November 20.

Apart from the special accessories, Donna said Us that she has no good luck rituals for when her sons take the field. However, she does text Travis, 34, and Jason, 36, before games.

“I’ll try to find a funny photo from the past or make a comment that I remember them making in the past, and I just wish them the best of luck,” she said. “That’s really all I do.”

Travis and Jason made history in February as the first brothers to face each other in a Super Bowl game. The Chiefs emerged victorious, but Jason will get a chance at redemption in Monday’s game, which serves as a Super Bowl rematch.

Although Travis and Jason have a friendly sibling rivalry, the two are very close. They even co-host a weekly podcast called “New Heights.” Donna told me Us that she believes her sons have stayed grounded thanks to the many positive influences they had growing up.

“They had phenomenal coaches, fantastic teachers and great support [and] families that were around us because we traveled so much [for] basketball [and] football,” she said. “Really nice individuals who are still friends to me to this day, and I think it was a menagerie of all those individuals with all these wonderful qualities that they passed on all these years, and I’m just very happy that they were given those opportunities and became the men they are.

Donna is not only a proud mother, but also grandmother to Jason’s three daughters with wife Kylie Kelce: Wyatt, 4, Elliotte, 2, and Bennett, 8 months.

“He likes all girls,” Donna said Us of Jason’s experience as a girl father. “He loves the cuddles, he loves how sweet they are, the little comments they make, how much they love their animals and their dolls.”

Donna’s love of family is one of the reasons she was so excited to work with Ancestry®. “I’m really excited about working with Ancestry®, especially because of some of the new tools they have,” she said. “They have the ability to upload photos and recipes and things like that, which really intrigued me.”

In addition to learning more about her ancestors, Donna also learned something interesting about herself through the service.

“I have a sprinter trait, which makes a lot of sense because I was a sprinter when I was in high school and I was pretty fast. I could beat guys in high school,” she shared. “And it goes without saying that my guys would be able to move quickly on the field as well.”
