A behind-the-scenes look at the 2024 Golden Globes and Afterparties
Awards season got off to a great start as the 2024 Golden Globes brought glitz, glamor and (mostly) good vibes.
A-listers descended on The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday, January 7, but the party didn’t stop when the final trophy was presented on stage. Netflix hosted a banger at Spago and drew star performances Greta Gerwig, Bradley Cooper, Elizabeth Debicki, Julianne Moore, Jason Sudeikis and more.
Host Jo Koy stepped out for the afterparty, despite a chilly reception from the audience – both in the venue and at home – for his controversial monologue. He mentioned Cooper, 49, Robert de Niro and more at the top of the show, shouting later Taylor Swiftwho was not happy about being the butt of Koy’s joke.
“The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? We have less camera footage of Taylor Swift at the Golden Globes. I swear,” he joked, referencing Swift’s public support for her boyfriend, Kansas City Chief tight end Travis Kelce.
Swift, 34, was seen taking a sip of her drink with a disgruntled look on her face, instantly adding another meme-worthy reaction to her selection of famous phrases at the awards show.
Although Swift didn’t appear to attend any after-parties, she did celebrate with BFFs at the show Selena Gomez And Keleigh Teller and cheered for Barbiewho hit her Eras tour concert film in the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category.
