Madeleine McCann suspects Christian B 'planned to kidnap a child and sell it to a childless couple' a week before his disappearance
CHRISTIAN B reportedly planned to kidnap another child and sell him to a couple a week before Maddie went missing in Praia da Luz.
The convicted sex offender even tried to recruit a man to help him carry out his plan, it is claimed.

Expat Ken Ralphs, 59, says Sky News that Christian B made the offer to a mutual friend who was living in a tent in the Algarve at the time.
He said: “We were sitting around the fire one evening after a meal, having a few beers and in the early hours of the morning my friend started crying.
“I asked him what was going on and he finally confessed to me that he was involved with Christian to steal a child from Praia da Luz from a wealthy family.”
Ralphs explained that he was part of a nomadic community – alongside Christian B and their mutual friend – who lived off-the-grid in remote parts of Portugal.
He said his friend lived with his family in a teepee, where he and his wife would bring them food.
He claimed that Christian B took advantage of the man's financial situation and tried to convince him to participate in the kidnapping plan.
“Christian knew the man was vulnerable and wanted to travel abroad, but he couldn't leave because he couldn't afford the plane tickets,” he said.
He said he urged his friend not to get involved and offered to help him financially.
He continued: “I said you can't get involved in kidnapping someone for ransom, that's ridiculous, and then he explained, 'No, it's not like that.' Christian had a customer, a buyer in line, a German couple who could do that. I don't have any children.”
The accusation comes as the pedophile was accused kidnapping a child from a beach and sexually abusing it her in 2007.
The 47-year-old is currently serving a seven-year prison sentence jail term within Germany for rape and drug trafficking, will stand trial next one Friday.
His former friend turned police informant Helge Bwho is also called 'the most important witness' expected to testify.
Mr Ralphs was back in Britain when he heard the news that three-year-old Maddie disappeared from her parents' holiday home in Praia da Luz in May 2007.
He claims he went straight to a Police station in Workington, Cumbria, as soon as he heard the noise news and even gave the police a 'secret map' of the forest.
“I said to the Police, here's the secret map of how to get to this point in the forest. I said that this should be sent immediately to the Portuguese Police,” he said.
Mr Ralph said that on his return to the Algarve he discovered that both his friend and Christian B had disappeared while his friend's tent had burned down.
He repeated his story to the Portuguese police, who reportedly told him he would be contacted if necessary.
When Christian B was identified as a suspect in Maddie's case in 2020, Ralphs said he contacted police again after recognizing him in the media.
He said: “They told me that someone had been in contact with my boyfriend abroad and that he had denied knowing me, but I have a dozen witnesses who will say he is lying.
“I think he just didn't want to be questioned by the police.”
He said he had reached out Scotland Yard and sent a statement for the Madeleine investigation, which is now before German prosecutors.
Ralphs said he knew Christian in the months before Maddie's disappearance because they parked their RVs at the same location on Barranco Beach.
“I remember him clearly. He was good looking, spoke very good English and was polite but not particularly friendly. A bit of a loner,” he said.
Even though it is the main suspect he has not been charged for Madeleine's disappearance and the German authorities who have investigated him for the past five years.
Christian B has always denied the allegations against him.
