Ariana Grande’s New Album Details Dalton Gomez, Ethan Slater Timeline
Ariana Grande shares her truth on her new studio album, Eternal sunshine.
“Ariana thinks these songs will offer a lot of insight to her fans,” a source exclusively reveals in the latest issue of We weekly. “[It’s] her side of the story Dalton [Gomez] And Ethan [Slater].”
In July 2023, news broke that Grande, 30, had split from then-husband Gomez, 28, after two years of marriage. Later that month, Us confirmed she started dating Slater, 31, after meeting on the set of the two-part film Bad movie musical. Grande will star as Galinda/Glinda the Good Witch, while Slater will play Boq, a Munchkin who has an unrequited crush on the enchanting character.
As Grande and Slater’s relationship heated up, rumors swirled about their timeline regarding her divorce. Both Grande and Slater – who filed for divorce from their estranged wives Lilly Jay in July 2023 – have denied cheating on their then-husbands.
Grande further hinted at the drama on “her first single from Eternal sunshine, with the title “Yes and?”
“I feel like we don’t have to go into details, but of course there is an insatiable frustration, an inexplicable, hellish feeling when you see how people misunderstand the people you love, and you and whatever” , Grande said during an appearance on the “Zach Sang Show” in February. “I’m so nervous because there are pieces of it [the album] touching on things that are real and then bits of it just become part of the concept. So, what is that separation? It’s so scary to leave it to these selective memory people to decipher it. It’s scary, but I digress. Too late. The vinyl records have been pressed.”
A second source says Us That Eternal sunshine is a ‘concept album’.

Eternal sunshinenamed in part after the 2004 film Eternal sunshine of the spotless mindis the most ’emotional’ LP Grande has written to date.
“It says everything and nothing at the same time. It’s very vague and very specific – all at the same time,” she added on the “Zach Sang Show” last month. “The great thing about it was that I was writing [Eternal Sunshine], it wasn’t meant for the world to hear. I was just kind of [like], ‘Let’s just go. Let’s see what comes out.’ And when I finished, I remembered that people will hear it and sometimes people will sensationalize things and assign meaning to certain things. And I wanted to make sure I combed through it, just to make sure it was what I meant.
Since her humble beginnings in Boca Raton, Florida, Ariana Grande has become one of the most recognizable names in the entertainment industry. Grande and Gomez filed for divorce in September 2023 and finalized their divorce a month later. (Slater’s own divorce is still ongoing. He and Jay, 30, share a 12-month-old son.)
Since Grande’s divorce from Gomez became official, she has moved in with Slater in New York City.
“She feels like she has found her soulmate. Life is good,” said a third source Usand notes that the pop star is optimistic about their relationship.
