BEAUTY fans have praised a £2 ingredient that will help get rid of the tiny wrinkles found right under the eyes.

As people age, skin cells divide more slowly and the middle layer of the skin, which provides support and elasticity, begins to thin.

Laughter and smiling can also cause wrinkles, which has happened to beauty enthusiasts Maxiine McGrath.

The tattoo and makeup artist took to TikTok to ask other beauty fans for advice on how to get rid of it.

She has developed very fine wrinkles just under her eyes, which become more prominent when she smiles.

Maxiine has asked her followers what she can do as she thinks Botox won’t be able to reach the specific area where she needs it.

She also realizes that “tear filler” wouldn’t work because it wouldn’t get rid of her “sagging skin.”

Teardrop filler is a non-surgical procedure in which a gel-like substance is injected into specific areas around the eyes.

It works to replenish lost volume that occurs due to aging.

Her video has since gone viral with many rushing to the comments section to share their thoughts.

One beauty fan recommended Castor Oil, which costs just £2 in stores including Ocado.

Experts believe that this ingredient contains fatty acids that penetrate deep into the skin.

Studies have shown that it helps promote collagen production and improves elasticity, making the skin look firmer and tighter.

According to experts at Boots, the eyes have 22 muscles that ‘move endlessly and blink around 10,000 times a day’. So it’s no wonder that the eyes are one of the first places where signs of aging appear.

Noella Gabriel, global president of ELEMIS, says the eye contour is “fragile and much thinner” than the skin on your face.

Dr. Derrick Phillips, consultant dermatologist, believes that in this current financial crisis, people can use whatever moisturizer they use on the rest of their face, under the eyes.

But eye creams typically ‘differ’ from face creams in that the texture is lighter and less greasy, so thinner skin can ‘easily absorb’ it.

Five essential skin care steps for wrinkle-free skin

According to experts, these are the tips to care for your skin.

1. Take off your makeup as soon as you get home

2. Double cleansing

3. Exfoliate regularly

4. Do not put pressure on the face when you sleep

5. Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep

How to apply eye cream

Noella believes that people should use an eye cream in the morning and evening immediately after their cleansing routine.

The beauty expert says the ring fingers should be used because they have the “lightest touch,” meaning “less pressure” on the sensitive area.

Dr. Phillips urges eye cream users to apply a small amount to the finger and apply it “around the orbital bone,” while also ensuring that the finger moves the cream from the inner to the outer smooths the corners of the eyes.

Combining the eye cream with an under-eye massager is also encouraged by the aesthetic doctor and nurse, Natalie Kelly.

She explains that this can “help gently push the ingredients into the skin.”

Not only will it cool the area, but it will also stimulate lymphatic drainage to reduce puffiness in the area, says Natali.

What is lymphatic drainage?

Unlike traditional massage, lymphatic drainage uses gentle pressure to mobilize the lymphatic system, which removes waste products from the tissues.

It helps reduce swelling, bloating and puffiness.
