THIS is the shocking moment Mark Robins celebrated in a ball boy’s face as Coventry secured a dramatic late win over Wolves.
The Championship side defeated the Premier League side 3-2 in a Midlands derby to book a place in the semi-final of the FA Cup.
In a thrilling match, Coventry scored two goals in stoppage time to book their trip to Wembley.
Ellis Simms equalized in the 97th minute before Haji Wright found the back of the net as the clock showed 100 minutes.
The 54-year-old Robins celebrated the winner wildly and deliberately directed his joy at a ball boy, who managed to wind him up earlier in the cup match.
The ex-Manchester United hero sprinted towards the boy with his arms up and crouched down to get close to his face.
After walking away, Robins turned around and aimed a fist pump at the ball boy.
The Coventry boss has since apologised, saying: “The young lad had dropped the ball earlier and walked away smiling.
“It really annoyed me, so I celebrated it in front of him.
“I don’t often show emotion, but that’s what the FA Cup does to you.”
His behavior was criticized by Wolves boss Gary O’Neil, who took aim at Robins during his post-match press conference.
O’Neil said: ‘He apologized but it’s disgusting to celebrate in a young boy’s face.
‘The boy is really upset. It shouldn’t happen.
“I thought it was really important for me to talk to Mark about it because they’re just kids doing their job.”
Coventry now have a semi-final to look forward to and remain in the hunt for promotion to the Premier League.
They are just four points away from the play-offs in eighth place.
Meanwhile, things got even worse for Wolves when O’Neil revealed that star player Pedro Neto could be out injured for the rest of the season.
