It lasted 18 months and was kept hidden until a phone conversation she had with a colleague Linda Tripp was leaked in January 1998.

Lewinsky she claimed had sexual encounters with the married president nine times, until March 1997.

She later claimed in an explosive documentary that she deliberately exposed her underwear during an Oval Office bash to get laid Clinton‘s attention.

The ex-president admitted to the relationship months later in August.

He apologized for what he called “a critical error of judgment and personal failure on my part, for which I am solely and fully responsible.”

Clinton was impeached in 1998 but later acquitted of all charges of perjury and obstruction of justice.
