Britain's Ministry of Defense said on Sunday it had “successfully repelled” Houthi attack drones fired at HMS Diamond.

The massive warship used its formidable Sea Viper missiles to crush the rebel threat during Saturday's battle.

They said: “Yesterday, HMS Diamond successfully repelled a drone attack by the Iran-backed Houthis in the Red Sea.

“By deploying her Sea Viper missile system, Diamond destroyed a drone targeted at her, without injury or damage to Diamond or her crew.

“These intolerable and illegal attacks are completely unacceptable and it is our duty to protect freedom of navigation in the Red Sea.

“We would like to thank the brave crew of HMS Diamond for their service in defending British and international interests.”
