THE world’s longest bus journey takes passengers on a European road trip of a lifetime lasting almost two months and traveling through 22 countries.

Driving across almost the entire continent, lucky tourists get the chance to experience a plethora of beautiful cities and even the northern Lights and Santa’s house – but tickets cost £20,000.

The great journey begins in the heart of Turkey‘S capital of Istanbul and drives passengers through an exciting European tour ends in London.

Taking a whopping 56 days to fully complete the journey, as many as 22 different countries will be crossed with various activities planned along the way.

Aptly named “Bus to London”. luxury The motorcycle comes with everything a busy tourist needs on board.

There’s also plenty of legroom and plenty of room to store your belongings, with each traveler allowed to bring two large suitcases.

Then, as on long-haul flights, each passenger is given an “entertainment system” with headphone jacks, Bluetooth and USB ports.

And within your ticket you also get accommodation for layovers, breakfast every morning and 30 lunches and dinners throughout the journey.

Visas are covered by the tour operators, as are the tours when you get off the bus.

Although the costs of such a grand trip will cost you quite a bit of money.

Because tickets cost a whopping £19,000 per person plus taxes.

The 56 days don’t consist of non-stop travel, however, as the route follows a rough pattern: one day on the road, followed by 24 hours of exploring.

On the shortest travel day, only 95 km are covered, but on the longest, no less than 675 kilometers are covered.

On average, about 440 km are covered every day, with a final total of no less than 12,265 km.

Indian expedition company Adventures Overland designed the record-breaking route and absolutely eclipsed the previous longest bus ride.

Currently, 6,200 km is the longest route that bus goers can travel with the Peruvian company Ormeño.

Adventures Overland co-founder Tushar Agarwal said: “Every route in every country has been vetted to ensure the journey is seamless, so Bus to London participants can come on board with the knowledge and confidence that they are in safe hands .

“Providing a niche and stylish experience in a safe environment is our top priority.

“We take care of the documentation, paperwork, visas and permits to ensure that participants’ full focus is on experiencing the trip.”

The first trip took place in August 2023 and Adventures Overland is now considering making the route even longer if possible.

THE ROUTE

The route is inspired by the famous European Hippie Trail from the 1950s to the 1970s and offers a full tour of the best parts of the continent.

Tourists take the bus from the starting point in Istanbul, also called the gateway to Europe.

The first part of the journey takes passengers through the various Balkan countries to Eastern Europe.

Stop at Sofia Bulgariainto Belgrade Serbia and into Zagreb Croatia.

After the opportunity to explore these whimsical cities, passengers board the bus again and travel to some of the continent’s top capitals: Budapest, Bratislava, Prague and Warsaw.

Before you venture into a fairly unexplored part of Europe Lithuania, Latvia And Estonia.

Then the bus boards a ferry to cross the Gulf Finland as the journey takes a cold turn.

Santa Claus Village and Nordkapp are too next one as passengers enter the northernmost part of continental Europe served by buses.

Then stop at Tromsø, Bergen and Oslo and give the lucky ones travelers a chance to explore one of the most beautiful countries in Europe Norway.

The Atlantic Ocean can be seen for miles and even the beautiful Northern Lights can be captured from above.

The rest of Scandinavia can then be seen with Copenhagen and Stockholm included Sweden comes up quickly.

In the last week of the trip Germanythe The Netherlands, Belgium And France You’ll wind through it before reaching the last stop in bustling London.
