DARTS star Wesley Plaisier has had his say about the ‘fartgate’ drama that is enveloping the sport like a stench.
Darren Webster accused opponent Ron Meleunkamp of stinking up the joint during their MODUS Super Series match earlier this month.
Webster claimed that his rival purposely broke the wind to distract him while playing darts.
And he even took to social media to criticize Meleunkamp afterwards.
Webster said: “If you play a guy who farts and stinks on stage and denies it, and then kicks you when you play the stall on every pitch because they suck, good luck for the future, but I do not. interested.
“Run over. He was a**b, end of.”
But Meleunkamp’s friend Plaisier rushed to the Dutchman’s defense.
He insists his buddy didn’t fart during the match.
That’s because if Meleunkamp had really had an attack of flatulence, Webster would REALLY have known!
Plaisier told the Double Top podcast: “It was completely taken out of context by Webster’s post on social media.

“I heard from Ron that he did nothing wrong and that there was a bad smell in the room all day.
‘I do know that if Ron really farts, you won’t get up again. But here he was simply falsely accused.
“Ron shook hands with Webster afterwards, I don’t think I would have done that again. I wouldn’t even look at him anymore.”
When asked if he had ever honked on stage, Plaisier laughed: “Certainly not on stage.
“I may have accidentally farted in the pub once, but that happens to everyone!”
