Ambreon (@im.ambreon) shared Dollar Tree’s gardening tip in a TikTok video.

“This is the fourth year I’ve had these stackable planters from Dollar Tree,” she said.

Although she relied on the $1.25 purchase year after year, she soon discovered there was a problem.

“They will dry out. These are new and what I did this year is poke a hole in each side so some water stays in,” she said.

To assemble her planter, she cut a post hole in the corner of her loft bed.

“Right now it’s out of balance. Once I put the dirt in and level them out, they’ll be balanced,” she said.

After filling her first layer with soil, she added another stackable planter and filled it with soil as well.

Ambreon showed off her five-tiered planter when she was done.

“Lettuce, spearmint, spearmint, spinach and spearmint,” she said, naming the plants she chose to fill each planter.

Another completed tiered planter contained a completely different set of plants.

“Here we have strawberry seeds and sage,” she said.

She was still deciding what to do with an unfilled four-tiered planter now that she had all the extra space and unlimited possibilities.

“I think I can plant some more lettuce seeds,” she said.

“Thanks for the advice. I just bought some of these,” said one affected viewer.
