Pressure washers can be expensive to purchase and require an external water source to use them effectively.

For anyone who doesn’t have a pressure washer, or doesn’t want to spend the money on purchasing a new one, there are several other ways to clean your patio.

Abi King took to the Facebook group: Mrs Hinch cleaning tips to share her hack.

Her message read: “Yesterday I used ‘The Pink Stuff, The Miracle Cream Cleaner’ and a Scrub Daddy and have transformed my patio.

“It may not be the best attempt you see on this page, but I’ve done it before.

“And I think it’s a big improvement that I scrubbed it myself and then threw water over it to rinse it off – no current crops used because I don’t have any.”

A jar of The Pink Stuff Cleaning Paste costs £1.50 and is available from most supermarkets including Tesco and Sainsbury’s.

The Miracle Cream Cleaner is also from The Pink Stuff and costs just £1 if you buy it from The Range.

As for Scrub Daddy, the Original costs £2.50 at Sainsbury’s, meaning Abi has spent £5 on products to clean her patio.

So many people were impressed with Abi’s patio transformation and commented on her post.

Jenny Hughes wrote: “Wow, you did that without a pressure washer?! Fair play to you!”

Julie McCarthy said: “Well done! It looks good. I never thought I’d use it for this job, so thanks for the inspiration!”

This is how you clean your terrace in 3 steps with The Pink Stuff:

  1. Apply the pink stuff

Spoon some of the paste onto the plate or mix it with water according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Then, apply the solution to your patio slabs with a scrub brush or sponge, making sure it covers the entire surface.

  1. Scrub the patio slabs

After you’ve applied the Pink Stuff, it’s time to scrub your patio slabs.

Use a stiff-bristled brush to scrub the surface of your records, paying extra attention to areas with stubborn stains or dirt.

Be sure to apply firm, even pressure to get the best results.

  1. Rinse and dry

After you’ve finished scrubbing your patio tiles with Pink Stuff, it’s time to rinse them.

Use a hose or bucket of water to rinse away the cleaning solution, making sure to remove all traces of Pink Stuff from the surface of your records.

Finally, allow your patio slabs to air dry completely before using them again.
