John Mulaney, 40, posted a loving tribute to his girlfriend, Olivia Munn, who turned 43 on Wednesday.

The star included a rare commentary on their lives as parents.

“Thanks for another year laughing like dummies, parenting like teens and always looking for your glasses,” the Chicago-born comedian wrote in the caption of a photo of him with Olivia and their one-year-old son Malcolm.

“(They’re on your lap),” the prankster joked, adding, “Happy birthday my girl.”

In Olivia’s birthday photo, the family posed together in front of a picturesque lake surrounded by towering mountains.

The couple has been together since May 2021.

The beginning of Olivia and John’s relationship was not immune to controversy.

May 2021 happened to be the same month that the Big Mouth star announced his split from wife Anna Marie Tendler.

Four months after the SNL writer’s romance with the X-Men: Apocalypse star was confirmed, the couple had another major announcement: Olivia was expecting their first child together.

The Spider Man: Into The Spiderverse’s relationship whiplash from Annamarie to Olivia inspired the viral term “Wife guy.”

After all, the stand-up comedian mostly focused his stand-up routines on how much he loved his wife Anna.

The highly publicized divorce sparked a conversation about parasocial relationships fans have with celebrities, given fans’ reaction to John filing for divorce from his wife of eight years.

Anna herself revealed to Harper’s Bazaar that the end of her marriage was “totally shocking and I think surreal.”

Meanwhile, the Mulaney star, who once proclaimed that he and his ex-wife didn’t want kids, stated during an appearance on the show Late Night With Seth Meyers that “Olivia and this baby helped save me from myself,” referring to his battles with addiction and subsequent trips to rehab.

The Emmy Award winner made no secret of how much he loved his son on an episode of Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, according to E! Online.

“When I’m out with him, I’m like, ‘Oh, the world is amazing,’ because I see it through his eyes,” the Netflix stand-up star said.

Praising his son’s zest for life, he added, “Malcolm will lie on his back on a blanket in the backyard and scream with his arms and legs because he sees the trees in the sky.”

The Portlandia star gushed about how much he loved his child, but also how he was just “fascinated” by his offspring.

“I love watching him see the world and see what sounds, sights, lights, volume levels make him smile,” the Human Resources actor added.
