The Princess of Wales paid a moving tribute to the late Queen last night as she attended the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Kate wore a pearl necklace and matching earrings that belonged to Her Majesty, alongside a brooch from the 1st The Queen’s Dragoon Guards, for which she was appointed Colonel-in-Chief in August.

She attended alongside King Charles, Queen Camilla, the Prince of Wales, Princess Anne and other members of the royal family, who all wore red poppies.

Both Kate and Camilla, wearing a lace cocktail dress by Fiona Clare, looked elegant in black, while Prince William and the King wore navy blue suits adorned with medals.

The Princess Royal gave a speech in honor of those who died in the Battle of the Atlantic, the longest military campaign of the Second World War, in which around 65,000 sailors lost their lives.

The Royals then watched a performance by the Band of the Royal Marines and joined the crowd to sing Dear Lord And Father Of Mankind after the memorial book, which contained the names of British war dead, was brought to the center of the hall.

This was followed by a performance by 14-year-old opera sensation Malakai Bayoh, who sang the Latin hymn Pie Jesu.

The festival ended with the crowd singing God Save The King, followed by three cheers.

Charles waved to the crowd who applauded as he left with the other Royals.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife Akshata also attended the event, along with Labor leader Sir Keir Starmer and his wife Victoria.

The Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance was organized by Clare Balding and broadcast on BBC1.

In addition to the Battle of the Atlantic, this year’s event also commemorated those who served in the Korean War, along with a tribute to the Windrush generation’s contribution to the military.

Today Charles will lead the nation in remembrance at the Cenotaph.
