While Kieran Culkin he and his wife have achieved a lot in his career Jazz Charton still maintain their humble mentality.
“[They] are such a fun, affectionate and completely down-to-earth couple,” a source exclusively reveals in the new issue of We weekly. “Just now [a few] Years ago, they sat on the couch in New York eating takeout, unsure of where life would take them.
Culkin, 41, and Charton, 35, married in June 2013 after a year of dating. They later expanded their family with daughter Kinsey Sioux and son Wilder Wolf in September 2019 and August 2021, respectively. Before welcoming their children, Culkin joined the cast of Succession in 2018.
“Jazz always found Kieran hysterical,” says the insider Us. “She is so happy that all his work has paid off for him.”
Since the premiere of Succession, Culkin has received critical acclaim for his role as Roman Roy in the drama. During the 2024 awards season, Culkin took home several trophies, including a Critics Choice Award, Golden Globe and Emmy.
“Kieran is getting all this recognition for his work and that's something Jazz is happy to celebrate with him,” a second source said Us.
While on stage at the Emmys, Culkin made headlines with his acceptance speech when he thanked Charton for her support and publicly asked her if they could have another baby.
“Thank you for sharing your life with me and giving me two wonderful children,” he said in his viral speech in January. “And Jazz, I want more. You said maybe if I win. I love you so much. Thank you.”
After the speech, Culkin admitted that the call was not his finest moment and provided more context as to why he made the comment.
'I asked [for baby No. 3] for a while. My wife Jazz said, “Maybe if you win the Emmy, haha.” I didn't talk about it for months,” he explained at a press conference after the Emmys. “And when I got the [Golden] Globe, I said, “Do you remember what you said?” And she says, 'No! What did I say?' So I told her, and it all came back to her.
Despite having the best intentions, Culkin admitted he shouldn't have abandoned his wife like that.
“Instead of talking to her privately like a human being, I just shot her on stage,” continued. “That was very rude. That is it. That's the whole story.”
After his win, Culkin headed to the Sundance Film Festival for the premiere of his new film A real pain. With Culkin's busy schedule, he admitted he felt guilty about not being more present at home with his family.
“I'm really looking forward to it when I get home,” he said The Hollywood reporter earlier this month. “Because I haven't really been a parent these past few weeks, which makes me feel bad and like I'm not being myself.”
