Pete Davidson officially charged with reckless driving after crashing his Mercedes into a Beverly Hills home, forcing it to be demolished
Pete Davidson has been officially charged with reckless driving after crashing his Mercedes into a Beverly Hills home earlier this year, it has been revealed.
The Saturday Night Live star was charged with reckless driving by the LA Country District Attorney’s Office on Friday. TMZ reports.
Davidson, 29, was driving through the Flats neighborhood of Beverley Hills at around 11pm on Saturday, March 4, when he lost control of the car.
His girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders was also in the vehicle.
The Mercedes jumped the curb and hit a fire hydrant before crashing into the side of a nearby house, police said.
The house then had to be completely demolished due to the impact of the crash and the house’s foundation was stripped down to the ground, photos have revealed.

Police said at the time that drugs and alcohol played no role in the accident.
Photos showed Davidson’s damaged Mercedes after the crash, with the hood, windshield and bumper smashed by the force of the impact.
The crash occurred hours after Davidson presented the Kids’ Choice Awards in LA on Saturday night.
Earlier that day, the couple had lounged on a beach in Hawaii before flying back to the mainland for the ceremony.

Incredibly, no one was injured, either inside or outside the house, but police were called to the scene and an investigation is now underway.
The crash came after an exhausting day for the couple. Previously, Davidson and Sui Wonders had been photographed on Saturday enjoying the beach in Hawaii and returning to Los Angeles shortly after.
After a five-hour flight from Hawaii back to LA, Davidson presented at the Kids’ Choice Awards later that night.

Former Saturday Night Live cast member Davidson has dated several women, including supermodel Emily Ratajkowski, since splitting with Kim Kardashian, 42, in August after nine months together.
Davidson and Sui Wonders met when they were working as love interests on the horror/comedy film Bodies Bodies Bodies in 2021.
The well-received whodunit about a group of wealthy twentysomethings who plan a hurricane party at a mansion that turns deadly received an 85 percent critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The audience’s score, 69 percent, wasn’t quite as generous.
