A MAKEUP artist has given her step-by-step technique to keep under-eye crepe at bay.

She said her cosmetic regimen is like a ‘hydrating kamikaze’ for sensitive skin and fine lines.

Kaila Gibson (@kailagibsonmua) filmed herself demonstrating her secrets to a flawless complexion in a video on TikTok.

“If you’re struggling with under-eye crepe, dehydrated eyes, fine lines and wrinkles, and need some coverage,” she said.

“But you just don’t want to spoil the products because it usually accentuates all those things that we don’t want.

“I’m going to give you two tricks you can try that will work to hydrate your undereyes but still give you the coverage you want,” she added.

She called her routine her “easy peasy lemon squeeze makeup tip.”

“The trick is to take an under-eye balm or serum. A little bit on your hand,” she said.

“Take a small amount of a head shadow product. You don’t want anything too bright because all you’re going to do is accentuate your craze and your fine lines. Mix, mix,” she added.

She combined the makeup with the serum to create a colored product.

She said that while she doesn’t have an under-eye crepe yet, the routine works for her clients.

Gibson also added an alternative method to yield similar results.

“The other thing you can do is take a balm like this lip conditioner and place it right under your eyes and apply your undereye color on top,” she said.

“This ensures it stays hydrated with plenty of moisture and plenty of exercise so it doesn’t settle into those fine lines and wrinkles and become excessively dry.”
