How to clean up your WhatsApp and make it much more user-friendly
WHATSAPP can easily get overwhelmed by the different chats you've had over the years.
And chances are there are some you don't want to delete, but you don't need them in plain view either.
Fortunately, there is a way to clean up your WhatsApp chat list without deleting anything.
And all thanks to a button that allows you to archive conversations.
What happens when you archive a chat on WhatsApp?
When you archive a chat, you should file it out of sight, but not delete it.
It is still possible to resume the conversation with that person at any time and you can also view previous messages.
Think of it as a folder where you can clean up your list.
Once a chat is archived, you will not receive notification of new messages, although a number will appear next to the archive link.
It is also possible to undo the archiving at any time.
How to archive a WhatsApp chat
Follow these instructions to archive a chat:

- Go to the Chats tab, then press and hold a chat you want to archive.
- Press Archive choice.
You can also archive all chats.
Just go to Institutionsand then choose Chats > Chat history > Archive all chats.
How to unarchive a WhatsApp chat
Follow these instructions to unarchive a chat:
- Scroll to the top of the Chats main page
- Press Archived knob.
- Press and hold the chat you want to unarchive.
- Tap on Remove from archive
How do you know if someone has archived you on WhatsApp?
There's no real way to know for sure if someone has archived your conversation on WhatsApp.
If someone isn't responding to you and the messages are getting through, archiving is just one possible explanation.
If the messages don't go through, you may have been blocked.
