It comes after Christine opened up about her “life-changing” diagnosis of ADHD and autism and reveals she now “understands” herself.

The reality star was diagnosed with autism two years ago. Her three children – twins Penelope and Leo, nine, and Felicity, seven – are also autistic.

Christine appeared on The Doctor Will Hear You Now podcast with host Dr. Zoe Williams, discussed her health and urged others to get a diagnosis.

Speaking of ADHD and autism as a dual diagnosis, Christine said, “It’s very common to get a dual diagnosis if you’re autistic, you could potentially be autistic and ADHD, or autistic and dyspraxic, or dyslexic, it’s pretty common to get that dual diagnosis.”

“For me, I didn’t understand how I could be ADHD, because again, you Google or you see people, and you have this image of what you think ADHD is going to be like, and I didn’t fit that line.

She continued, “I am an inattentive ADHD, which is different from the typical hyperactive ADHD person you see and recognize more often. So, for me, when I’m inattentive, I can be quite aloof, I live in my own little bubble.

“It’s very natural with my autism, it overlaps and it’s very similar, but then I have moments where I’m extremely hyperactive in my thoughts, in the creative side, in my feelings, in my emotions.

“I’ll be extremely hyper-emotional when I’m sad: it could be the end of the world, to the point where I think, I can’t take it, I can’t do this anymore, even with suicidal thoughts.”

‘That’s how far it can go, and that’s where the hyper side is for me. On the bright side, if I’m happy it’s the best thing in the world, and nothing can ruin your day, and it can be from the tiniest little thing.”

Dr. Zoe added: “This is a big problem, especially in healthcare, and this is what really struck me when I watched your documentary…

“I think when we talk about ADHD, it’s more common — both in the general population and healthcare professionals — that we think of a boy who is very hyperactive and running around, and again, with autism, we often think of boys, and we have that definition in our brain.”

Autism refers to a wide variety of disorders characterized by problems with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech, and nonverbal communication.

After an assessment, which she described as a “long process,” she was diagnosed when she was 31 — a result that was an “immediate relief.”
